hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h1>Nutrition and Welfare<\/h1>\n<p>The Siro Group Foundation seeks to combat malnutrition around the world by harnessing intellectual, productive and economic resources from the companies it owns and that are engaged in the development and production of food products.<\/p>\n<p>The Foundation understands malnutrition from two different perspectives: <strong>malnutrition caused by excess <\/strong>(e.g., the existence of poor eating habits or an excess of foods that can be harmful); _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;2_5&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;10%||||false|false&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this, we have adapted the recipe to specific nutritional deficits in this population group and the territory where they live. The consumption of one ration (4 biscuits) would account for 50% of their recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;10%||||false|false&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The changes in their health resulting from the consumption of these biscuit will be measured according to the analytical improvement of micronutrients between the start and end of the project. _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;10%||||false|false&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>At present, the clinical protocol is being reviewed by an independent Ethical Research Committee in Guatemala &#8211; the Nutrition Institute of Central America and Panama, which is backed by the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO).<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; malnutrici\u00f3n infantil, llevaremos a cabo un estudio cl\u00ednico en Guatemala en un grupo de ni\u00f1os de 2 a 6 a\u00f1os a quienes se le suministrar\u00e1 la galleta por un periodo de tiempo determinado.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=\"2_5,3_5\" _builder_version=\"4.9.4\" _module_preset=\"default\"][et_pb_column type=\"2_5\" la receta a las deficiencias concretas de este grupo poblacional y el territorio en el que habitan. As\u00ed, el consumo de una raci\u00f3n (4 galletas) representar\u00eda el 50% de su ingesta diaria recomendada de vitaminas y minerales.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\"4.9.4\" _module_preset=\"default\" custom_margin=\"10%||||false|false\"]<p>Los cambios en su salud por efecto del consumo de la galleta se medir\u00e1n mediante la mejor\u00eda anal\u00edtica de micronutrientes al principio y final de la intervenci\u00f3n. Del mismo modo, se llevar\u00e1 el registro de los cambios en sus medidas antropom\u00e9tricas.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=\"3_5\" _builder_version=\"4.9.4\" _module_preset=\"default\"]<p>Actualmente, el protocolo cl\u00ednico est\u00e1 siendo revisado por un Comit\u00e9 \u00c9tico de Investigaci\u00f3n independiente en Guatemala, concretamente, por el Instituto de Nutrici\u00f3n de Centroam\u00e9rica y Panam\u00e1, el cual cuenta con el aval de la Organizaci\u00f3n Panamericana de Salud
